Overview

In our return to Montana, The States Project is working to build power for state lawmakers committed to protecting personal freedoms, including abortion access, defending democracy, and improving the daily lives of all Montanans.

While the rightwing holds majorities in both chambers, the average Montana House district has just 6,000 voters. We believe our strategic investments in these small-margin Montana districts could help lawmakers stop some of the most harmful, extreme policies from becoming law.
