In 2025, The States Project invested a historic $7M in Virginia — and helped flip 13 seats, expanding a one-seat majority into a 14-seat margin, the largest pro-democracy majority in the Virginia House since 1987. Seven of those seats had been held by the rightwing for more than 40 years.
In 2026, we’re bringing the evidence-based tactics and data-driven strategy that made history in Virginia to more states than ever before.
