New Michigan Trifecta Delivers First Signed Policy of 2023 in Record Time

Feb 2, 2023

In November, The States Project’s community helped fuel new majorities in the Michigan State House and Senate. Those lawmakers took office in January — and have delivered results for working families in record time!

As State Senator Sarah Anthony breaks down here, the legislature’s first bill of the session addresses affordable housing, good jobs, support for small businesses, sustainable infrastructure, and more.

And as State Senator Darren Camilleri points out, the state’s new trifecta wasted no time getting to work for all Michiganders.

This is the power of majorities. This is why we’re laser focused on state legislatures. This is what’s possible when we help elect state lawmakers focused on improving lives.
